Great news: Hyatt has launched another round of its Bonus Journeys promotion.

You can earn up to 45,000 bonus points between March 20 and May 26. The Bonus Journeys promotion is in addition to previously announced targeted Hyatt offers and Park Hyatt and Hyatt Place/Hyatt House promotions.

Let’s look at these current World of Hyatt promotions to see what they offer and how you can take advantage of them.

Bonus Journeys

KYLE OLSEN/THE POINTS GUY

Between March 20 and May 26, you can earn 3,000 points for every two nights you stay, starting with your second stay, on up to 30 nights. You must be staying on a qualifying rate (i.e., standard, member, AAA or senior rate) to earn the bonus points.

World of Hyatt cardmembers can earn 500 bonus points every two nights you stay in 10 select cities, up to 30 nights during this promotion. The cities eligible for the 500-bonus-points promotion are Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Hong Kong, London, New York, Paris, Tokyo and Washington. Similarly, you’ll need to be booked under a qualifying rate.

You can register for the promotion here.

Targeted World of Hyatt promotions

In early January, many World of Hyatt members received emails titled “Here’s Your Exclusive Offer for More Rewarding Travel.” TPG staffers reported getting these emails at various times. Others didn’t receive emails but found a promotion in their online accounts.

Some TPG staffers (with and without World of Hyatt elite status) received offers for triple bonus points for every qualifying two-night stay through March 19 (up to 30,000 bonus points).

One TPG staffer with World of Hyatt Globalist status received a similar offer but with double (instead of triple) bonus points.

Meanwhile, another TPG staffer with Globalist status received an offer of 1,000 bonus points per night, up to 10,000 bonus points.

WORLD OF HYATT

Another TPG staffer with World of Hyatt Globalist status was offered 1,500 bonus points per night for up to 10 nights.

One TPG staffer without World of Hyatt status was offered a promotion to earn up to two Suite Upgrade Awards for every five nights at a Hyatt property.

Finally, TPG’s Katie Genter, who also has Globalist status, got targeted for 20% bonus points back when redeeming points. It’s worth noting that she had many revenue stays booked with Hyatt during the period from Jan. 9 through March 19, but no award stays.

WORLD OF HYATT

Each targeted offer requires members to register by Feb. 28 and is valid for stays completed by March 19.

Reports indicate other targeted promotions, including a Category 1-4 certificate after a three-night stay, double elite-qualifying nights when you register by Feb. 28 for stays until March 19, and 2,000 bonus points for every nonconsecutive stay. A friend of a TPG staffer said Hyatt targeted them for the following double elite nights promotion:

Check your email and the offers area under your reservations on your Hyatt account page to see if you’re targeted for any promotions. Even if you don’t plan to stay with Hyatt before March 19, enroll just in case your plans change.

If you have the World of Hyatt Credit Card or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, previously registered members can receive 1,000 bonus points for each eligible stay of two nights or more at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties. This promotion is now closed for registration, but if you registered, you’ll continue enjoying the extra points for eligible stays through March 5.

For each eligible stay, you’ll receive 1,000 bonus points (up to a maximum of 25,000 bonus points). Back-to-back reservations at the same property will only count as one stay (thus only earning bonus points once), even if you check out and then check back in. Qualifying stays for this promotion include paid stays at eligible rates and award stays.

The points you earn through this promotion are bonus points, not base points that help you accrue World of Hyatt elite status. According to TPG’s latest valuations, 1,000 Hyatt points are worth $17.

Bonus points at select Park Hyatt properties

CAMERON SPERANCE/THE POINTS GUY

You can earn 2,000 bonus points per stay at seven Park Hyatt properties when you use the code PARK20 while booking your stay.

The participating properties are the Park Hyatt Kyoto, Park Hyatt Tokyo, Park Hyatt Chicago, Park Hyatt Toronto, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, Park Hyatt New York and Park Hyatt Washington D.C.

You must use the PARK20 code and book and stay by Feb. 28 to earn 2,000 bonus points per stay. But both paid and award stays (including uses of free nights) are eligible. You can find the full details of the promotion here.

Back-to-back reservations at the same property or booking multiple rooms will not earn bonus points.

Bottom line

Hyatt is back with more promotions, offering bonus points and more. Some promotions are targeted, while others are brand specific or only open to World of Hyatt cardholders.

If you’re looking to maximize the World of Hyatt program, keep an eye out for promotions. And it’s not a bad idea to have a World of Hyatt credit card in your wallet to earn more Hyatt points.
