Norwegian Prima

Sailing on the Norwegian Prima was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment I boarded the ship, I knew that I was in for a treat. The ship itself is a marvel of engineering and design, with luxurious accommodations, state-of-the-art amenities, and a wealth of activities to keep passengers entertained. But there were five things in particular that stood out to me during my time on board.

Five Awesome Things About Sailing on Norwegian Prima!
1. Amazing Food Experience at Indulge Food Hall

The food on the Norwegian Prima was absolutely incredible. There were so many different dining options to choose from, but one of my favorites was the Indulge Food Hall. This unique dining concept features a variety of food stations, each offering a different type of cuisine. From noodles to Indian food to burgers, there was something for everyone. I loved being able to try so many different types of food in one place. It was cool using the iPad’s to order food from the various stations.

The food at each of the stations was really good.

There was also some outdoor seating with cool chairs to relax on.
2. Solo Cruises Program and Gatherings
As a solo traveler, I always appreciate it when cruise lines offer special programs and gatherings for people traveling alone. The Norwegian Prima’s solo cruisers program was top-notch. They had a dedicated lounge area for solo travelers, as well as a host of activities and events specifically designed for people traveling on their own. It was a great way to meet new people and make friends while on board.
Every night the group gathered for socializing and then many of the attendees gathered together for dinner in one of the main dining rooms.
The group also did some of the entertainment together. It is really awesome the crew setup the activities each night!
3. Specialty Dining Meal Experiences
While the food at the Indulge Food Hall was amazing, the specialty dining experiences on the Norwegian Prima were truly next-level. I had the opportunity to dine at several of the ship’s specialty restaurants, including Onda by Scarpetta, Los Lobos, Le Bistro and Cagney’s. The food at these restaurants was absolutely incredible, and the service was impeccable.

The steakhouse offered some great cuts of steak as well as excellent side items.

My favorite experience was in the French Restaurant. The server was amazing and each item I sampled was incredible.

My cruise booking included one specialty dinner experiences and upgrading to the premium beverage package gave me two additional specialty dinner credits.
4. Trying all the Starbucks Drinks because it is included in the Premium Drink Package
One of the things I loved most about sailing on the Norwegian Prima was the fact that all Starbucks drinks were included in the premium drink package. As a coffee lover, this was a dream come true. I was able to try all kinds of different drinks, from lattes to Frappuccino’s to iced teas. It was a great way to treat myself while on board.

Normally when I go to Starbucks I get something basic like a cappuccino. But by getting to order any of the drinks thanks to the beverage package, I tried various latte’s cappuccinos, iced teas and the frozen drinks as well. It was pretty cool. I found out I like the Pistachio Latte and it became my goto drink each day!
Note: I upgraded to the premium drink plan so that I could have coffee drinks since Starbucks was the only option as well as it included bottled water.
5. Beach Club Experience in Cozumel
Finally, in Cozumel, which was one of the cruise ports, I went to a really fun beach club called Del Mar Latino Beach Club. The club is located a few blocks from International Pier and offers good views of the ships in port.
Norwegian Prima docked at the Langosta Cruise Terminal which is more centrally located in downtown Cozumel, so I took a taxi for about $6 each way to the beach club.

The Del Mar Latino Beach Club is on the smaller side but the location is perfect and the price of $39 for all you can eat and drink is awesome. There was a pool as well as lounge chairs around the pool as well as along the ocean.

The food was really good and the staff was so friendly and they warmly welcomed me!

Well those were my favorite things, what about you? Do you have some favorite things that you loved about Norwegian Prima?
